We have grown from humble beginnings keeping our awareness of environmental issues at heart. This is reflected in our latest introduction of an energy rated window. We have also developed a green working environment which encompasses a paperless office.
During the summer of 1989 whilst working for a multinational window company Sean Munsie, a founding Director, formulated a plan to establish a new PVCu manufacturing business within the North West area and in December 1989 Rose County Windows Ltd, as it was known then, was formed.
Initially Rose County Windows moved into a 5000sqft factory unit in Farnworth, Bolton and commenced fabrication in January 1990. With an initial workforce of 8 production commenced at approximately 80 - 100 frames per week.
Acknowledging that quality and service were key ingredients to the continuing growth of the company Rose County Windows gained a coveted British Board of Agrement Certification (BBA) for the products produced.
A growing order book and lack of space lead to increases in demand for machinery, man power and factory space. A further 5000sqft of factory floor was added to the existing workplace to enable the expansion to take place.
The management team was also strengthened at that time with the addition of Paul Culshaw an experienced manager from within the industry. Paul is now one of a team of three active Directors. Sean Munsie, Paul Culshaw and Bill Munsie.
Continuing success in supplying Local Authorities with high specification products within agreed pre determined schedules enabled production levels to increase steadily.
Steady careful growth from 1994 to 1999 saw the facility further expanded with production increased and the customer base strengthened.
In order to facilitate this continuing growth Rose County Windows changed its name and formed a group called Heritage Somerfield Group Limited. With its principle activity remaining the fabrication of PVCu products supplied through Heritage Trade Frames
Early in 2000 as a result of continuing increased demand for its products Heritage Trade Frames relocated its operations to a 30,000sqft modern facility. Conveniently located in Horwich, Bolton the unit has ensured future growth for its operations.
Sales are now in excess of £5M annually and with a combined workforce of 70+ the factory is currently producing in excess of 25,000 frames per year.
